Rayavadee is set on a stunning peninsula overlooking the Andaman Sea in Thailand’s southern Krabi province. Close proximity to Phuket and famous islands like Phi Phi as well as the stunning seascape of Phang Nga Bay make Rayavadee the perfect base for exploring this enchanted corner of the Kingdom.
The three beaches that border Rayavadee are part of Krabi Marine National Park. As such, sun lounges are not permitted to be placed directly on the beach. Rayavadee strictly observes park regulations providing sun lounges for guests at the Umbrella Tree Court overlooking Phranang Beach and at poolside. All beaches in Thailand are public and the area around the resort is visited by other boats and travelers throughout the year.
Getting there
Rayavadee is usually accessed though Krabi International Airport which has numerous direct flights to and from Bangkok every day served by Thai Airways International (www.thaiairways.com), Nok Air (www.nokair.com), Air Asia (www.airasia.com) and Orient Thai Airlines (www.fly12go.com). There are also direct flights from Singapore with Tiger Airways (www.tigerairways.com).
Krabi is only 176 km from Phuket. The road journey takes just over two hours by car on a well-surfaced highway, making this another option for accessing the resort.
After being met at the airport by a member of the resort’s staff, it is a short drive to the pier where you will board one of Rayavadee’s luxuriously appointed speedboats for an exhilarating ride to the resort through the majestic scenery of the Phranang Peninsula.
Accommodation
The resort has 98 enchanting two-story pavilions and 4 luxurious private villas spread over 26 acres of coconut groves and tropical gardens bordered by three beaches. The award-winning architecture blends with its natural surroundings to create a unique atmosphere reminiscent of an idyllic southern Thai village.
Dining
Raya Dining offers International Cuisine in an elegant yet informal setting. Begin your day here with an energizing, wholesome breakfast. In the evening, enjoy a sophisticated menu with dishes that range from light offerings and tasty salads to classics such as succulent lobster, rack of lamb and perfectly grilled tenderloin. Air-conditioned and open-air seating is available.
